Johann Theile (* 29. Juli 1646 in Naumburg (Saale); † 22. Juni 1724 ebenda) war ein deutscher Komponist und Kapellmeister. Theiles kompositorische Werke umfassen Singspiele, Opern, Messen, Psalmen, Passionen, Arien und Canzonetten, Sonaten sowie Motetten.
Enciclopedia on line. Musicista (Naumburg 1646 - ivi 1724), insegnante e contrabbassista in orchestra a Lipsia, poi maestro a Stettino e Lubecca, e (1673) maestro di cappella dei Holstein-Gottorp; fu poi (1675) ad Amburgo e infine (1685) maestro di cappella a Wolfenbüttel e (1689 circa) a Merseburgo.
