Philipp-Ernst, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe (Friedrich August Philipp-Ernst Wolrad; 26 July 1928 – 28 August 2003) was a head of the Princely House of Schaumburg-Lippe. Biography. He was born in Hagenburg, the second son of Prince Wolrad of Schaumburg-Lippe and his wife Princess
He was born in Düsseldorf, the second son of Philipp-Ernst, Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe (1928-2003) and his wife Baroness Eva-Benita von Tiele-Winckler (1927-2013). At the time of the death of his grandfather, Prince Wolrad in 1962, Alexander was unlikely to succeed to the headship of the princely house.

Philipp Ernst zu Schaumburg-Lippe (* 26. Juli 1928 in Hagenburg; † 28. August 2003 in Bückeburg) war ein deutscher Unternehmer und „Chef“ des Hauses Schaumburg-Lippe.
Leben. Er war der Sohn des Grafen Friedrich Ernst zu Lippe-Alverdissen (1694–1777) und dessen Frau Elisabeth Philippine von Friesenhausen (1696–1764). 1777 trat Philipp II. Ernst die Nachfolge seines Onkels Graf Wilhelm an, nachdem dieser ohne Nachkommen gestorben war.
Alexander zu Schaumburg-Lippe ist der zweite Sohn von Philipp Ernst zu Schaumburg-Lippe (1928–2003) und dessen Ehefrau Eva-Benita, geborene Freiin von Tiele-Winckler (1927–2013). Über die mütterliche Seite ist er auch ein Vetter des Journalisten und Autors Hasan Cobanli.
