Kronberg im Taunus is a town in the Hochtaunuskreis district, Hesse, Germany and part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area. Before 1866, it was in the Duchy of Nassau; in that year the whole Duchy was absorbed into Prussia. Kronberg lies at the foot of the Taunus, flanked in the north and southwest by forests.

Kronberg im Taunus (bis zum 17. Oktober 1933 Cronberg geschrieben) ist eine Stadt und ein staatlich anerkannter Luftkurort mit 18.416 Einwohnern (31. Dezember 2022) im hessischen Hochtaunuskreis im Regierungsbezirk Darmstadt. Kronberg ist Teil der Stadtregion Frankfurt, der größten Agglomeration im Rhein-Main-Gebiet.
Schlosshotel Kronberg (Castle Hotel Kronberg) in Kronberg im Taunus, Hesse, near Frankfurt am Main, was built between 1889 and 1893 for the dowager German Empress Victoria and originally named Schloss Friedrichshof (Friedrichshof Castle) in honour of her late husband, Emperor Frederick III (Friedrich III).

Our cultural heritage. Kronberg im Taunus has always been a most appealing place. The castle, built by the Lords of Eschborn, bears witness to this. Likewise the artists' colony, founded primarily by painters of the Städel Institute of Art in Frankfurt as one of the first of its kind in Germany.
Kronberg Castle. The town's landmark was founded during the Hohenstaufen period. Today, all that's left of the oldest part, the so-called upper castle, is a ruin (with the exception of the keep), dating back to the first decades of the 13th century.
