Langenburg ( German pronunciation: [ˈlaŋənbʊɐ̯k]) is a town in the district of Schwäbisch Hall, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located on a hill above the river Jagst, 18 km northeast of Schwäbisch Hall.
Situated in the heart of the Hohenlohe region and in the particularly scenic central Jagst valley, the small town of Langenburg, which was first mentioned in 1226 as “Langenburg castrum et oppidum”, has been a popular tourist destination and climatic health resort since the 1950s.
