Ludwigslust Palace ( German: Schloss Ludwigslust) is a stately home or schloss in the town of Ludwigslust, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, northern Germany. It was built as a hunting lodge, rebuilt as a luxurious retreat from the ducal capital, Schwerin, then became for a time (1765–1837) the center of government.
Ludwigslust Palace is embedded in an impressive palace and park complex. The landscape park looks like a fairytale and combines baroque elements such as water features with the grace of an English garden. The castle park extends over 127 hectares and fascinates visitors.
