The City Center of The Hague (Dutch: Centrum) is the oldest and, with a population of 104,658 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2018), the second largest of The Hague's eight districts, consisting of nine neighbourhoods. Two railways stations can be found in the city center: Den Haag Centraal and Den Haag Hollands Spoor.
Centrum is de wijk die het hart van Den Haag vormt. Het is ook het oudste deel van Den Haag als stad. Hier bevinden zich onder meer het Binnenhof met de Ridderzaal, het stadhuis en Paleis Noordeinde. De wijk ligt in het gelijknamige Stadsdeel Centrum. Het aantal inwoners is tussen 2013 en 2019 met 10% gestegen van 17.995 tot 19.855.
Alhoewel Den Haag niet de hoofdstad van Nederland is, dat is Amsterdam, is het wel de residentie (regeringszetel) en fungeert het in veel opzichten als hoofdstad. De stad Den Haag ontstond in de middeleeuwen rond de Hofvijver en het Binnenhof, tegenwoordig het centrum van de Nederlandse politiek.

De basis voor het Den Haag van nu werd gelegd in 1230. Floris IV, graaf van Holland, kocht een ‘hof’ in een gebied dat bekend stond als Die Haghe.
