Francisco Veloso (born 1969) is a Portuguese academic. He is the dean of INSEAD and the former dean of the Imperial College Business School. Early life and education. Francisco Veloso was born in 1969 in Lisbon, Portugal. He graduated from the University of Lisbon, where he earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree.
Biography. Francisco Veloso is the Dean of INSEAD since 1 September 2023, leading the school across its full range of activities and four locations. Previously, he was the Dean of Imperial College Business School, and before that, the Dean at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics.
Veloso is an active contributor to AACSB, EFMD, and AMBA, and is currently on the global board of directors of AACSB. Veloso has a PhD in technology, management, and policy from MIT, as well as an MSc in economics and management of science and technology and an undergraduate degree in physics engineering, both from the University of Lisbon.
