Charles Altamont Doyle (25 march 1832 - 10 october 1893) was an artist, watercolourist and illustrator, and the father of Arthur Conan Doyle. Charles was the youngest son of the caricaturist John Doyle (1797-1868) known as "H.B." and brother of Richard Doyle (Dicky).

Charles Altamont Doyle, né le 25 mars 1832 à Londres et mort le 10 octobre 1893 (à 61 ans) à Dumfries en Écosse est un peintre britannique de l'époque victorienne. Il était le père de l'écrivain Arthur Conan Doyle, le frère de l'artiste Richard Doyle et le fils du portraitiste et caricaturiste John Doyle.
Death Place. Dumfries. Doyle was from a family of artists. He was born and raised in England but in 1849 he moved to Edinburgh, where he would spend most of his career employed by the Office of Works, whilst also enjoying some success as an illustrator.
