Princess Christiana of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, often referred to as Christiane (22 September 1634 in Copenhagen – 20 May 1701 at Delitzsch Castle) was the consort of Christian I, Duke of Saxe-Merseburg, who was the ruling Duke of Saxe-Merseburg from 1650 until his death.
Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, the fourth son of Duke Friedrich of Glücksburg, was recognized in the London Protocol of 1852 as successor to the childless King Frederick VII of Denmark. He became King of Denmark as Christian IX on 15 November 1863.

Christiane of Saxe-Merseburg (1 June 1659 – 13 March 1679), was a German noblewoman member of the House of Wettin and by marriage Duchess of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg. Born in Merseburg, she was a child of Christian I, Duke of Saxe-Merseburg and his wife Christiana of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. Life
Geschichte. Christoph zu Schleswig-Holstein, Oberhaupt des Hauses Schleswig-Holstein. Johann von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg gründete 1564 das Haus Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg. Diesem Hause entstammte August Philipp, der 1627 das Haus Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Beck gründete.
