Sir Henry Fielding Dickens, KC (16 January 1849 – 21 December 1933) was an English barrister, who served as a KC and Common Serjeant of London. He was the eighth of ten children born to English author Charles Dickens and his wife Catherine, and the last surviving child of Dickens.
Henry Fielding Dickens, the eighth child of Charles Dickens and Catherine Hogarth Dickens, was born on 16th January, 1849. Dickens named him after the novelist, Henry Fielding. At the time Dickens was writing David Copperfield and he told John Forster that this was in "a kind of homage to the style of the novel he was about to write."

Although his career as a novelist spanned less than two decades owing to his late start and his death at age 47, and although he wrote only half-a-dozen novels, Fielding so dominated the genre that young Charles Dickens once said he aspired to being hailed as “The Fielding of the Nineteenth Century.”
