Nel 1373 o 1374 Siemowit III cedette il ducato di Varsavia al figlio Siemowit IV (1352-1426) e quello di Rawa al figlio Giano I (1346-1429). Intraprese inoltre una serie di riforme: promulgò nel 1377 un diritto consuetudinario e rivide l'amministrazione pubblica, la giustizia e il sistema monetario.

Siemowit IV, Duke at Rawa and Płock (until 1426), also Duke of Belz from 1388; Since the Polish-Lithuanian Union of 1385, Masovia was localized between the joined Jagiellonian states. The Dukes of Masovia also ruled the Duchy of Belz until 1462.
As Boleslaus left no children, his younger brother Siemowit inherited his lands, reunifying two thirds of the main duchy. Siemowit was, however, killed in a battle against the Lithuanians, who also took his heir prisoner.
