Stanley Kramer (1913-2001) was a prolific and influential filmmaker who tackled controversial topics such as racism, war crimes and civil rights. He produced and directed classics like Judgment at Nuremberg, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and Inherit the Wind, earning 24 wins and 35 nominations.
