Talvin Singh added percussion, tabla & tavil to a couple of tracks and there is an Asian influence throughout “Superstition”. This version of Siouxsie & The Banshees is very different from the band that made “The Scream” in 1978 or for that matter “Juju” 10 years earlier in 1981.

24 ott 2014 · And so begins 1991's Superstition, released at a time when e-addled kids were munching their way through disco-biscuits in the middle of a muddy field, dancing and gurning their way through the Rave culture. Suddenly Siouxsie and the Banshees were surplus to radio requirements and in danger of sinking fast.
Superstition is the 10th studio album by Siouxsie and the Banshees, released in 1991. Features the single, "Kiss Them for Me". The band widened their musical influences with the arrival of Indian musician Talvin Singh, who played tablas on the songs "Kiss Them for Me" and "Silver Waterfalls".
In 1991 -- the year in which Sioux and Budgie married -- the Banshees performed on the inaugural Lollapalooza tour; their concurrent LP, Superstition, was their most commercially successful, spawning their lone U.S. Top 40 hit, "Kiss Them for Me."
