To encourage the development of homegrown players, all Lega Pro clubs were capped to use no more than 16 players in their squads that were older than 23 years of age (in 2019–20 season, player born before 1 January 1997), plus two wildcards for long serving players of the clubs. The clubs could use an unlimited number of under-23 players.

8 ago 2023 · La Serie C è la terza serie professionistica del campionato italiano di calcio maschile. La scorsa edizione si è conclusa con la finale playoff vinta dal Lecco sul Foggia, ma tornerà a settembre per regalare ogni weekend partite avvincenti, dai risultati mai scontati.
La Serie C1 si strutturava su 36 squadre ripartite in due distinti gironi generalmente suddivisi, specie nelle edizioni più antiche, su un criterio geografico tra Nord e Sud Italia, anche se talvolta si registrarono modalità alternative.
