Clive Ballard (born August 1964) is a British, world-leading expert in dementia. He is currently Professor of Age-Related Diseases at the University of Exeter and Interim Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the University of Exeter Medical School.

My main research specialisms are better treatments for neuropsychiatric symptoms in people with dementia, drug discovery, dementia prevention and improving mental health and quality of life for people with dementia in residential homes.
Clive Ballard is Professor of Age Related Diseases, Co-Director of the Biomedical Research Unit for Dementia at the Institute of Psychiatry, co-Director of the Wolfson Centre for Age Related Diseases at King’s College London and served as Director of Research for the Alzheimer’s Society between 2003 and 2013.
Clive has led more dementia and cognitive health trials than anyone else in Europe over the last decade. He was featured in the Lancet Neurology for his achievements. His main research specialisms are drug discovery, dementia prevention and improving care for people with dementia in residential homes.
