24 giu 2014 · Nigen 二原 for short, second key animation is a relatively new concept in anime. This person does what in the west is known as "cleanup" - cleaning up the rough genga before they're passed on to the animation director to be checked. This step permits key animators to pump out more animation than if they had to produce a more polished shot.
3 set 2023 · Nigen is Second Key Animation, happens right after the first director checks. After doing nigen, the finished cuts are genga, and are usually closer to character models and director intentions. Usually, nigen or genga are a bit choppy, since they're meant to be inbetweened. Douga is Inbetweening, happens after the second director checks.

24 giu 2022 · For me, if the layers are stuck, I leave them be rather than risk damaging the cel/line art. I would personally leave them - I know that's not what you want to hear. Anytime I've come across separated layers theres always been some sort of resultant issue, be it cracking or paint transfer to the underlying cel.
