Köpenick (German pronunciation: [ˈkøːpənɪk] ⓘ) is a historic town and locality (Ortsteil) in Berlin, situated at the confluence of the rivers Dahme and Spree in the south-east of the German capital.
Köpenick is a place of superlatives: as the largest district of Berlin, it is also the least populated. Köpenick is home to the largest forest in Berlin (Köpenick forest), the largest lake (Müggelsee), and the highest point of elevation of the capital (Müggelberge).

Köpenick (bis 1931 amtlich: Cöpenick) ist ein Ortsteil im Bezirk Treptow-Köpenick im Südosten von Berlin, am Zusammenfluss von Spree und Dahme in wald- und seenreicher Umgebung gelegen. Köpenick besitzt – wie auch das am Westrand Berlins gelegene Spandau – eine eigenständige mittelalterliche Stadttradition.
Köpenick occupies an island position, embedded between forest and water. The enchanting old town with its many restaurants, Köpenick Palace, and the old town hall attracts tourists and locals.
