I Doors sono stati un gruppo musicale rock statunitense fondato a Venice Beach nel 1965 da Jim Morrison , Robby Krieger (chitarrista), Ray Manzarek e John Densmore , e scioltosi definitivamente nel 1973, due anni dopo la morte di Jim Morrison (avvenuta il 3 luglio del 1971).
13 è la prima raccolta del gruppo The Doors. Pubblicata nel novembre del 1970, debuttò alla posizione numero 75, il 19 dicembre 1970, fu al venticinquesimo posto per due settimane, dal 2 al 9 gennaio del 1971. La raccolta, uscì dalle classifiche dopo l’8 maggio, per un totale di 21 settimane in esse.
