  2. ABOUT THE AFI CONSERVATORY. Located in the filmmaking capital of the world, the AFI Conservatory is nestled in the hills overlooking Hollywood. The picturesque eight-acre campus is in the center of the professional filmmaking community with easy access to studios, networks and post-production facilities.

  3. The AFI Conservatory is a private non-profit graduate film school in the Hollywood Hills district of Los Angeles. Students (called "Fellows") learn from the masters in a collaborative, hands-on production environment with an emphasis on storytelling. The Conservatory is a program of the American Film Institute founded in 1969. History.

  4. The AFI Conservatory is a narrative filmmaking school, and submitted films should show narrative ability. Please submit YouTube or Vimeo links. Ensure links are NOT password protected, and all professional accounts are up to date. Keep all links active until August 2024. All films should be in English or subtitled in English.
