Official website. Adam Smith College was a Scottish further and higher education college located over various campuses across the county of Fife . On 1 August 2013 Adam Smith College and Carnegie College came together to form Fife College, creating a new college for the region in line with Government legislation. [1]

3 giorni fa · Adam Smith received his elementary education at a two-room “burgh” school in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, before entering Glasgow College at age 14 in 1737. Graduating in 1740, Smith won a scholarship (the Snell Exhibition) to study at Balliol College, Oxford , which he attended for six years.
7 lug 2022 · Today, a small bronze bust of Adam Smith, created by the distinguished Victorian sculptor Carlo Marochetti, is preserved in Balliol College. What Adam Smith thought of Oxford, however, is preserved in an even more permanent form: his cutting words on a failed education system that so badly let him down.
