22 mar 2024 · His TV drama An Englishman Abroad (1983) won loads of awards, and the sort-of-sequel A Question of Attribution (stage 1988, film 1992) was a big thing at the time of Talking Heads. He wrote the screenplays for A Private Function and Prick Up Your Ears in the 1980s, both of which were acclaimed British films.
