Klaksvik S0 - 3Alexander Toth (June 25, 1928 – May 27, 2006) [1] was an American cartoonist active from the 1940s through the 1980s. Toth's work began in the American comic book industry, but he is also known for his animation designs for Hanna-Barbera throughout the 1960s and 1970s.

Alex Toth. Born: June 25, 1928 | Died: May 27, 2006. Biography. Although his name may not be familiar to children of the 1960s, '70s, and '80s who grew up on Saturday morning cartoons, Alex Toth (1928-2006) was responsible for creating and designing many of the characters those children cherished.
Alex Toth's significance to comics and animation art cannot be overstated. During his career, he was the comic industry's foremost proponent of modern design and composition. Starting in 1950, his work influenced almost every one of his contemporaries, and has continued to work its magic on the generations that followed.

He created character designs, backgrounds, layouts, and storyboards for classic animated series like Johnny Quest, The Herculoids, Space Ghost , and Super Friends, and some much, much worse ones.
