Alexander Daniel Alan Macmillan, 2nd Earl of Stockton (born 10 October 1943), styled as Viscount Macmillan of Ovenden between 1984 and 1986, is a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom. He is the eldest son of the Conservative politician Maurice Macmillan and grandson of prime minister Harold Macmillan, 1st Earl of Stockton.

Founded in London in 1843 by Scottish brothers Daniel and Alexander MacMillan, the firm would soon establish itself as a leading publisher in Britain. It published two of the best-known works of Victorian era children's literature, Lewis Carroll 's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and Rudyard Kipling 's The Jungle Book (1894).
