Alfred, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Alfred (Alfred Ernest Albert; 6 August 1844 – 30 July 1900) was sovereign Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha from 1893 to 1900. He was the second son and fourth child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (Franz August Karl Albert Emanuel; 26 August 1819 – 14 December 1861) was the husband of Queen Victoria. As such, he was Consort of the British monarch from their marriage on 10 February 1840, until his death in 1861.

Alfred was sovereign Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha from 1893 to 1900. He was the second son and fourth child of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. He was known as the Duke of Edinburgh from 1866 until he succeeded his paternal uncle Ernest II as the reigning Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in the German Empire.
Alfred Alexander William Ernest Albert von Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha (* 15. Oktober 1874 im Buckingham Palace, London; † 6. Februar 1899 in Meran) war Erbprinz und Thronfolger des Doppelherzogtums Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha, designierter 2. Duke of Edinburgh und Prinz von Großbritannien und Irland. Er entstammte dem Haus Sachsen-Coburg und Gotha .
