Figlio (n. 1213 - m. 1272) di Oddone III, cui successe, all'età di sei anni, sotto la reggenza della madre Alice di Vergy. Crociato con Luigi IX il santo nel 1248, cadde prigioniero a Mansura nel 1250 e fu liberato solo nel 1254. Nel 1265 ebbe dall'imperatore Baldovino di Costantinopoli il titolo, solo onorifico, di re di Tessalonica.
Alice di Borgogna (1251 – 1290) fu contessa d'Auxerre dal 1262 alla sua morte. Era figlia di Oddone di Borgogna e Matilde di Borbone-Dampierre, dama di Borbone e contessa di Nevers, Auxerre e Tonnerre.
