Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson (February 18, 1940 – May 22, 2015) was an American artist who represented Black history through art. [1] [2] Early life and education [ edit] Robinson was born on February 18, 1940, to Leroy Edward Robinson and Helen Elizabeth Zimmerman-Robinson in Columbus, Ohio. [2] .

In 2020, the Museum established the Aminah Robinson Legacy Project to encompass the myriad aspects of her life, proliferate awareness of her work, and place her in the pantheon of the most important twentieth and twenty-first-century American artists where she deservedly belongs.
