The Green Knight was theatrically released in the United States on July 30, 2021, by A24. The film received acclaim from critics for its cinematography, music, acting (particularly Patel's), production values, and Lowery's originality, direction and writing. It grossed over $19 million against a budget of $15 million.
David Lowery will write and direct the film, and Michaela Coel and Anne Hathaway were announced to star. Music will be composed by Daniel Hart, with original songs being provided by musicians Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX. [1] In May, Hunter Schafer joined the cast.
