Arnold III, Count of Bentheim-Steinfurt-Tecklenburg-Limburg. Mother. Magdalena of Neuenahr-Alpen. Anna, Princess of Anhalt-Bernburg (née Countess Anna of Bentheim-Tecklenburg; 4 January 1579 – 9 December 1624) was the consort of Christian I, Prince of Anhalt-Bernburg .
Biografia. Arnoldo era figlio del conte Eberwin III di Bentheim-Steinfurt (della linea maggiore) e della moglie, la contessa Anna di Tecklenburg-Schwerin. Trascorse la sua giovinezza presso l'abbazia di Leeden assieme alla sorella Walburga. La madre lo educò personalmente in materia religiosa.

Biografia. Era figlio del principe Cristiano I di Anhalt-Bernburg e della contessa Anna, figlia a sua volta di Arnoldo III di Bentheim-Tecklenburg e Maddalena di Neuenahr-Alpen. Nacque nel Castello di Amberg, dove suo padre risiedeva. Venne subito indirizzato ad aderire ad una cultura filoeuropea, imparando il francese e l' italiano.
