Asghar Farhādi (AFI: [æsɢæɾ fæɾhɑdiː], in persiano اصغر فرهادی ; Homāyun Šahr, 7 maggio 1972) è un regista, sceneggiatore e produttore cinematografico iraniano. Due suoi film hanno vinto l' Oscar al miglior film straniero , Una separazione nel 2012 e Il cliente nel 2017.
Asghar Farhadi (Persian: اصغر فرهادی, [æsˈɢæɾ ɛ fæɾhɑːˈdiː] ⓘ; born 7 May 1972) is an Iranian film director and screenwriter. He is considered one of the most prominent filmmakers of Iranian cinema as well as world cinema in the 21st century.

It won the Best Actress Award at Cannes Festival and was nominated for the Golden Globes and the César. Farhadi returned to Iran in 2015 to shoot The Salesman (2016). The film was completed in 2016 and selected in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, where Farhadi won Best Screenplay while Shahab Hosseini, the lead actor, took home Best Actor.
