30 ott 2015 · Backlash was the closing film at the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival, May 1986, but ironically it didn't crack a single nomination at the 1986 Australian Film Institute Awards. David Stratton, in his Cinema Papers' January 1987 review of the film explained the result this way:
