Backtrackin' is a two-disc compilation album by Eric Clapton spanning the years 1966 to 1980. It was released in 1984. The compilation contains all of Clapton's best known songs with Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos, and his solo 1970s work through his 1980 live album Just One Night.

3 April 2002. I'm 13 years old and I have only just begun my Eric Clapton 'fanning'. It started when I downloaded Layla as a MIDI file for my Keyboard. My dad said that he had loads of Clapton LPs and played a few to me. Within a week I have become quite fond of his music. Backtrackin' was the first album dad played to me.
