Barbara Blomberg (1527 – 18 December 1597) was the mother of Don John of Austria. Blomberg was born in Ratisbon (modern Germany), the eldest daughter of Wolfgang Plumberger or Blomberg, a burgher, and of his wife Sibilla Lohman.

Colindres, Bilbao, 1597) di tale Wolfgang B. da Ratisbona; conobbe (1546, durante la riunione della dieta imperiale a Ratisbona) Carlo V. Ebbe da lui (1547) un figlio, don Giovanni d'Austria; sposò poi un ufficiale austriaco, Hieronymus Kegel.
The idea derives from a commentary written by Ralf von Retberg in 1846 in which he mentioned a portrait of Babara Blomberg painted by Altdorfer in 1522 in the Kränner collection in Ratisbon. The panel depicts the only known individual female portrait so far attributed to Altdorfer.
