She was previously the second lady of the United States from 1981 to 1989, and founded the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy.
Barbara Pierce Bush (born November 25, 1981) is an American activist. She co-founded and is the chair of the board of the nonprofit organization Global Health Corps. [1] She and her fraternal twin sister, Jenna, are the daughters of the forty-third U.S. president, George W. Bush, and former first lady Laura Bush.
