Bard College is a private liberal arts college in the hamlet of Annandale-on-Hudson, in the town of Red Hook, in New York State. The campus overlooks the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains within the Hudson River Historic District—a National Historic Landmark.
All first-year students participate in a common curriculum: the Language and Thinking Program, First-Year Seminar, and Citizen Science. Undergraduate Courses. All courses offered in the undergraduate program fall under the four divisional headings, in the interdivisional programs and concentrations heading, and the Conservatory of Music. Every semester, approximately 675 courses are offered as seminars, studio courses, tutorials, Senior Projects, and independent studies.
Bard College is a Fulbright top producing institution. Sara Varde de Nieves ’22, who was a joint major in film and electronic arts and in human rights at Bard, has been selected for a Fulbright Study/Research Award to Chile for the 2024–25 academic year.
