(fn. 61) Known as Hyde Park House, it was numbered 3 Albert Gate in 1877, and renumbered 60 Knightsbridge in 1903.

It takes its name from William Cubitt, its developer, who embanked the riverfront and laid out the principal streets during the 1840s and 1850s.
