Plot. The series focuses on Rusty, the most advanced robot ever built, with a human emotional grid and "nucleoprotonic" powers. The plan by Quark Industries is that Rusty will replace the Big Guy, a massive war robot that is the Earth's last line of defence against all threats alien or domestic.

S1.E1 ∙ Creatures, Great and Small. Earth's protector BGY-11, better known as the 'Big Guy', is decommissioned after boy robot 'Rusty' is successfully deployed; but when a new threat proves to be too much for Rusty alone, the Big Guy returns to join the fight.
Summaries. When under attack by evil aliens or an insane robot cult, only Big Guy (Jonathan David Cook) and Rusty, the Boy Robot (Pamela Adlon) can save America. Created by the government to fight world threatening peril, Big Guy (Jonathan David Cook) was the world's first artificially intelligent robot, or so the government wanted us to believe.
