Rising from the ashes of a successful group, Days of the New, the members of Tantric initially found a large commercial audience at the beginning of the 2000s, but as the decade wore on, internal tensions and mediocre albums conspired to undercut their continued viability.

Tantric released their latest album Blue Room Archives, on September 30, 2014, the band is currently working on a new album called "Teather". Lead vocalist Hugo Ferreira is the only remaining founding member left in the group.
Tantric is awesome and I'll never understand why they aren't more popular. They're one of my favorite bands and this cd did not disappoint. All members of the band are incredible and having seen them a couple times, they sound even better live. I've played this for some younger 20-somethings that never heard of Tantric and have now become fans.
