George II of Pomerania (30 January 1582, in Barth – 27 March 1617, in Seebuckow, Rügenwalde (after 1945 Bukowo Morskie, Darlowo)) was a non-reigning duke of Pomerania. He administered the district of Rügenwalde from 1606 to 1617 jointly with his brother Bogislaw XIV .
In 1474, Eric II died of the Black Death, and his son Bogislaw X inherited Pomerania-Stolp. Bogislaw's brothers had died the same year. After the death of his uncle Wartislaw X in 1478, he became the first sole ruler in the Duchy of Pomerania since almost 200 years. Eric II had left Pomerania in tense conflicts with Brandenburg and Mecklenburg.
Barnim XI (1501–1573; by some accounts Barnim IX), son of Bogislaw X, Duke of Pomerania, became duke on his father's death in 1523. Life. Mary was the eldest daughter of the Elector John "the Steadfast" of Saxony (1468–1532) from his second marriage to Margaret of Anhalt-Köthen (1494–1521), daughter Prince of Waldemar VI of Anhalt-Zerbst . She married on 27 February 1536 in Torgau Duke Philip I of Pomerania (1515–1560).
