Un cacciatore di taglie (in inglese bounty hunter) è una persona che svolge un'attività consistente nell'assicurazione di un soggetto all' autorità giudiziaria, finalizzata alla riscossione di una ricompensa detta taglia . Un bounty killer è invece colui che elimina fisicamente la persona sulla quale la taglia è stata posta.
In un futuro distopico le corporazioni governano il mondo ed hanno le loro guerre private. Un ladro ruba una diligenza che trasporta un prigioniero pericoloso chiamato Bounty Killer. Una volta liberato, il ladro ed il criminale fanno squadra e si dirigono verso una piccola città del deserto.
