Primary Curriculum Intent 2023-2024. At present the curriculum is thematic and is currently being redesigned at KS1 and KS2 around ‘Big Questions’, to provide cross-curricular links which will deepen pupils’ understanding and spark their curiosity. All pupils are taught the full-breadth of the National Curriculum by their class teacher.

Inspection report: Bournville School 10 and 11 November 2021 3 Most pupils have positive attitudes to learning and are keen to do well. Attendance has improved and most pupils attend regularly. However, too many pupils are regularly late to school. The school’s efforts to address this issue has had only limited success to date.
Bournville School is a All-through, Co-Ed school located in West Midlands County, West Midlands. It has 665 students from age 4-16 yr with a student-teacher ratio of 17 : 1. This school rated Requires Improvement by recent Ofsted inspection. Headteacher/Principal Miss Marie Rooney. Phase of Education All-through.
In Reception direct teaching is delivered in key areas of reading, writing and mathematics. KS1 and 2. In Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage (KS2) our curriculum meets the requirements of the national curriculum. Key knowledge for each subject has been identified and sequenced across the year groups to ensure clear progression.
