27 dic 2020 · Former Michigan Assistant Attorney General Brian Kolodziej is facing felony misconduct charges after an investigation into his inappropriate relationship with the victim of a rape case he was assigned to in 2018. In September 2019, Kolodziej resigned from his position during the middle of a child sexual abuse case in Oakland County.
17 dic 2020 · Brian Kolodziej, who was an assistant attorney general, was charged by Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker, who was appointed to investigate the matter. Becker declined to say whether the misconduct charges were directly related to Kolodziej’s relationship with the woman or his other work on the case.
10 giu 2021 · Brian Kolodziej, the former Assistant Michigan Attorney General, has received a plea deal. Kolodziej was charged with two counts of felony misconduct in office last year for having an inappropriate relationship with the victim in a college rape case he was prosecuting, as well as allegedly tampering with evidence in that same case.
