For BA (Hons) Professional Acting, an overall score of 7.0 is normally required, with a minimum of 7.0 in reading, 6.0 in writing, 7.0 in listening and 8.0 in speaking. Acting Audition Process. We operate a two-stage process for admission. The first is a preliminary audition, which is normally held over Zoom (or other online platform), with a panel of two auditioners. If you are successful at the first stage, you will be required to attend a recall workshop, which is normally held in-person at the Theatre School.

Recent venues have included Bristol Old Vic, the Redgrave Theatre, the Wardrobe Theatre, Circomedia, Tobacco Factory Theatres, the Malcolm X Centre amongst others.
Lindy's Story. Lindy was always interested in acting and took part in amateur theatre, but decided she was ready to make the decision to try it professionally. She completed the ten-week summer foundation programme at BOVTS in 2018. She spoke to us about what she learned and how the programme helped her to gain a foothold as a professional actor.
