The Brooks Institute was a private for-profit art school in Ventura, California. It was formerly the Brooks Institute of Photography and was originally based in Montecito and Santa Barbara. Brooks Institute offered four majors and two graduate programs. The college was last owned by Gphomestay.

An Illustrious History, An Important Legacy. Founded in October 1945, Brooks Institute of Photography owed its existence to the vision of Ernest Brooks Sr, a pioneer in the use of color photography.
Our video library includes educational resources, coverage from signature Brooks Institute events, and presentations and interviews from leaders in the animal protection community. These curated video resources are open-access and geared toward all audiences.
