Bruce Ian Fairweather [1] (born December 12, 1960) [2] is an American guitarist and bassist based in Seattle, Washington . Biography. Fairweather grew up in Hawaii and moved to Montana for college where he met Jeff Ament skateboarding the brick banks at the University of Montana in September 1981.
History. Mother Love Bone was established in 1987 by ex- Green River members Jeff Ament, Bruce Fairweather and Stone Gossard, ex- Malfunkshun frontman Andrew Wood and ex- Ten Minute Warning and The Living drummer Greg Gilmore.

Mother Love Bone. The band formed by Jeff Ament, Bruce Fairweather and Stone Gossard following Green River splitting up. They received a lot of attention in Seattle and the beginnings of international interest with the 'Shine' EP.
Soon after, Tillman left to pursue other interests. He was replaced at first by original bassist Simpson, who in turn was replaced by ex-Green River and Mother Love Bone guitarist-turned-bassist Bruce Fairweather. In 1993 the Far Gone album appeared, which to many was considered a disappointment following Dayglo's critical success.
