Jerome Henry "Butch" Baldassari (December 11, 1952 – January 10, 2009) was an American mandolinist, recording artist, composer, and music teacher.
10 gen 2009 · We are saddened to note that Butch Baldassari, mandolinist, business owner and bluegrass entrepreneur, passed away earlier today (1/10) in Nashville. Butch had fought a long and hard battle with a pernicious brain cancer, by all reports remaining upbeat and in good spirits to the end.
American mandolinist, songwriter, music teacher and founder of the Nashville Mandolin Ensemble. Born December 11, 1952, Baldassari grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He died of a brain tumor on January 10, 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee.
