Broods are a musical duo from Nelson, New Zealand, composed of Georgia Josiena Nott on lead vocals, with older brother and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Allan Joseph Nott on production and backing vocals.

Caleb, Nott, and Essek completed the spell that could transform Nott back into her original form. The spell ultimately failed, and it was revealed that Nott had had a continuing curse placed on her that prevented the transformation.
Veth, previously known as Nott the Brave, met Caleb in a prison where they were both held prisoners. Caleb used Frumpkin to bring a piece of wire into their cell, which Nott used to pick the lock. Caleb proceeded to set the jail on fire and scream for help. The guards promptly fled, and Caleb and Nott walked out of the jail together.

Caleb successfully cast Transmogrification to restore Nott to her true form as halfling Veth Brenatto, and she joyously reunited with her husband and son. Later, they attended a formal party at the home of Marquis Zhafe Uludan where they kidnapped Essek in his "Lord Thain" disguise back to their ship, and he admitted he was the traitor.
