Catalina High School (also known as Catalina Magnet High School) is a public high school, located on the north side of Tucson, Arizona, United States. Catalina is a magnet high school (drawing students from the entire school district) in Tucson Unified School District and serves approximately 750 students in grades 9-12. [2]
Catalina is an innovative learning environment designed to meet the needs of every student through a rigorous curriculum, high standards and a variety of programs. We exemplify a welcoming environment for parents and community by promoting forums, engaging students with volunteer opportunities and inviting businesses/neighborhoods to support the school’s goals.

Catalina History. HISTORY OF CATALINA HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE JANUARY 17, 1957. It became apparent in 1953 that Tucson's population had grown significantly after WWII and the city was in need of more than one high school. So the Tucson Public School's governing board voted to build two new high schools.
