Central's History. A short note by Professor Simon Shepherd, Professor Emeritus of Theatre. Elsie Fogerty founded The Central School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art at the Royal Albert Hall in 1906. Fogerty was a specialist in speech training. She also had a firm belief in the social importance of education.

About this course. As a Stage Management and Technical Theatre student, you will learn hands-on skills and techniques that will prepare you for a career in theatre production; whether you are aspiring to become a multi-skilled theatre maker, or build specialist abilities such as rigging, prop sourcing, technical drawing or show-calling.
Saturday Youth Theatre. Become a member of Saturday Youth Theatre and meet like-minded friends. The weekly classes are designed to be fun, engaging and educational. Ages 6 - 17. La scuola fu fondata nel 1906 da Elsie Fogerty come Central school of speech and drama presso la Royal Albert Hall.Agli inizi la scuola offrì corsi per divenire attori e direttori di scena; nel 1912 i corsi furono equiparati a quelli universitari, il che consentì alla Central di rilasciare titoli equipollenti alla laurea.
