Charles-François Daubigny, né le 15 février 1817 à Paris où il est mort le 19 février 1878, est un artiste peintre et graveur français. Rattaché à l’école de Barbizon, il est considéré comme l'un des peintres charnières entre le courant romantique et l’impressionnisme.
An inspired landscape painter, the first one to settle in Auvers in the 1860s, Charles-François Daubigny was first influenced by the Barbizon School. Little by little, his vision of nature evolved towards a more modern sensibility and technique.
