History 2012–15. David Lowy and Jon Stevens formed the Dead Daisies in 2012, and recorded the band's self-titled debut album in 2013 with session musicians. The first touring lineup of the group, which performed in March 2013, included Guns N' Roses guitarist Richard Fortus, former Angels bassist Jim Hilbun, Cold Chisel drummer Charley Drayton and former Dragon keyboardist Alan Mansfield.

Charles Leslie Drayton (born May 9, 1965) is an American multi-instrumentalist and producer, known primarily as a drummer. Born in a musical family and raised in Brooklyn, NY, music was and still is Charley Drayton’s first language. His grandfather Charlie played upright bass {Louis Jordan, Ben Webster, Billie Holiday, Lena Horn}; and his father Bernard began his musical career as a recording engineer and is now a jingle and record producer.
Starting with the first show of the leg, drummer Jerry Pentecost replaced Charley Drayton. On March 10, 2023 Dylan announced European tour dates in June and July. This leg of the tour began in Porto, Portugal on June 2 and ended in Rome, Italy on July 9. On August 21, 2023 Dylan announced North American fall dates for the tour.
As with Sonic Temple in 1989, drums on the final version of Ceremony were performed by Mickey Curry, while Keith Richards's bandmate Charley Drayton was brought in to contribute bass. The Cult returned to touring in October 1991, with Astbury and Duffy joined by bassist Kinley Wolfe and drummer Michael Lee.
